The Cobb Family
Southern Cobb Farms is a proud fourth-generation family farm specializing in cotton, corn, peanuts, and cattle. Located in Bartow, Georgia, the farm has been passed down through generations, with a legacy built on hard work, dedication, and a deep love for the land.
The farm spans approximately 4,000 acres, producing row crops including cotton, corn, and peanuts, alongside a cow/calf operation. The operation is managed by Kevin Cobb and his two sons, Trevor and Tucker, with the help of two dedicated employees, working together to maintain the farm’s long-standing tradition of excellence. Typically, the farm plants roughly one-third of its acreage in each crop, though cotton acres were slightly reduced this year due to market prices.
Cotton holds a special place at Southern Cobb Farms, not only for its role in crop rotation but also for its visual beauty as it grows. Being a Magnolia Loom grower is especially meaningful to the family, as it allows them to keep more of their cotton local and strengthens a partnership that reduces reliance on exports.
Looking to the future, the family is excited about the next generation. A fifth generation is already growing up on the farm, and there is a strong hope that they will continue the family’s farming tradition for years to come.
